Volunteer Opportunities

We believe in the power of volunteering. Our summer camps and group programs are made possible by the dedication of our amazing volunteers. From leading activities to mentoring campers, our volunteers play a vital role in creating a memorable and impactful experience for everyone involved.

Youth Groups or Adult Small Groups

These groups are the backbone of keeping things running smoothly! Projects big and small need lots of willing hands, and we always have an abundance of either size. Indoor or outdoor, we have projects that can be worked on year round, depending on the season. If you’ve got the time, we have a project just waiting for you!

Individuals

There is always a home for you at Mystic Mountain. Individuals are part of our camp team and serve on the Board of Directors. We also have individuals who just need a place to come with a specific job and to find their sense of accomplishment. Let us know what your skills are or what you would like to do and we will plug you in! An example of this is that all of our videos were made by a volunteer who asked if this was a need we had. 

Do you like doing office tasks? We are looking for someone who would be willing to take over a variety of these tasks on a somewhat regular basis. Are you a gardener? Flower and shrub beds around our buildings are calling your name! Love animals? There are always things to do in this department! No matter your skill set, or experience, we have a number of options that can be customized to you!

Summer Camp Staff

If you are a teen interested in volunteering, check out our Leadership Summit program in October and November. It is put on by our Teen Council for those teens that think they might like to be part of the team. Leadership Training begins in January and produces the summer camps for children ages 5 through 13. Teens meet once a month in January through April and then for two weekends in May and June. Different activity training also happens in June. Summer camp begins in late June and ends in July. August and September are recovery months and then things ramp up again in October. If you’ve missed the Leadership Summit sessions, have no fear! We can bring you up to speed and get you plugged in. Adults who are interested in helping with summer camp are always welcome. We have most of the foundational positions filled by Thanksgiving so that we can begin summer camp sign ups before Christmas. However, if you are interested in helping, there is always a place for you!
