At Mystic Mountain, we offer a range of activities to make your experience unforgettable. Our outdoor recreation areas are perfect for group activities and team building exercises. From horseback riding to shooting, there's never a dull moment. Our Christian values and welcoming atmosphere make us the ideal destination for kids summer camps and group programs.

Teen Leadership Development

Our vision for teens involves empowering them to make wise and healthy choices, and to build leaders for today and tomorrow. We believe that if given the right tools, teens will rise to the occasion. It is our goal to truly make an impact in the next generation through our Discipleship and Leadership training experiences.

Horseback Riding Lessons

We offer horseback riding lessons for adults and children (ages 8 to 88!) in the Spring and Fall months. Lessons typically last for 1 hour and are one on one instructor to student for beginners and groups for more advanced. Lesson students learn to understand the language of the horse, through body language, grooming, and unique riding experiences. The cost for lessons is $40 an hour, per student. For more information contact the MMTC office at 814-796-2203 or text Denise at 814-464-3829.

Shooting Instruction

Throughout the year, our certified shooting instructors offer one day classes in pistol and personal protection to teens and adults. They are also available to schedule your group for a private class. Class size is limited to 12 although 8 is preferred. Each participant should have their own handgun of whatever caliber they prefer, or we have some to rent for an additional fee. Classes generally run from 9:00 am to 2:30 pm with extensive range time for shooting. Cost of the class is determined by the level of instruction from beginner through advanced. For further information contact marie@mysticmountaintrainingcenter.org.

School & Club Field Trips

As educators, we offer several different field trip opportunities. Throughout the school year we offer a Day At A Horse Farm program. Seasonally we have opportunities to participate in Maple Syrup (late winter) or Apple Cider (fall) educational experiences. Cost per participant is $15 regardless of the established field trip option.

Day at a Horse Farm

Wouldn’t you just love to “get up close” with a horse? Day At A Horse Farm is a field trip that is filled with exciting learning activities about God’s wonderful creation….the horse. You will have an opportunity to meet and greet the horses that are just waiting to lavish their attention on you. At Mystic Mountain, we have Pennsylvania’s largest herd of the American Bashkir Curly, a rare and hypoallergenic breed of which there are only about 4000 in the entire world! Not only will you get to brush and groom the horse of your choice, but you will learn in-depth information about horses in general….in a most unusual and fun-filled manner. You’ll just have to come out to discover our secret teaching tricks!

Maple Syrup

From the tree to the bottle, we will show you the process of collecting one of nature’s sweet gifts! This wintery activity is one of our favorites on the Mountain. It often ends with yummy pancakes and the syrup you helped make! We can accommodate groups up to 50 in this program.

*Must be booked on relatively short notice, due to the nature of the maple syrup season.

Apple Cider

Each fall we process lots of apples and you can see where this sweet drink comes from. You’ll get to pick the apples from the trees and help to press them into delicious apple cider. Make some apple fritters and enjoy the fruit of your labor with this famous seasonal beverage. We can accommodate groups of up to 50 in this program.

Design your Own

You have the option to simply reserve the facilities for a few hours for your own use, or, if you prefer, we offer several party packages. These may include activities such as: Horse Riding, Kayaking or Canoeing, Archery, Nature Explorations, waterslides and so much more! Cost for this program will vary depending upon the length of rental and involvement by the Mystic Mountain staff.
